Top States for Job Creation
Minnesota created the most jobs in
2015. The state boasts a 3.5 percent unemployment rate and more than
40,000 jobs were added last year alone, with the largest employment
gains centered in education and health, leisure and hospitality, and
professional and business services.
The latest Gallup Job Creation Index shows where in the U.S. job markets are thriving. Economists have long pointed to booming job markets as those that tend to lead to booming housing markets.
Could the same hold true for these markets?
Meanwhile, the states seeing the lowest job creation are Alaska, West Virginia, Wyoming, Connecticut, Hawaii, Oklahoma, and Vermont, according to the Gallup index.
